TX power selection with 2dBi antenna gain for ETSI compliance

Hi!
If I want to be complaint for EU ETSI (868MHz) max 25mW Tx power using SX1276 chip and a whip antenna with +2 dBi gain, what TX power level should I use?

Right now I use 14dBm setting but I'm not sure if you have to reduce it using the antenna?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

In most bands in Europe, the e.r.p. is limited to 14dBm / 25 mW. So if you inject 25 mW into a 2 dBi antenna (or -0.15 dBd), you will just be legal (just below 14dBm erp), with the maximum power you can get (at least in the peak e.r.p.).

At least that's the theory, and a run to the chamber with the actual product design will be required.
