Receiving Uplinks and Downlinks

Hi all,

I recently posted in the SX1301 forum asking if that chip was capable of listening for uplink and downlink simultaneously, as they have different polarities. The answer was no, it cannot do both at the same time.

Can the SX1272 listen for uplinks and downlinks at the same time? The existence of the LoRaWAN Relay Project implies that it can, (but only on a single channel).

Kind regards,

Hi,

The SX127x family chips, are half-duplex devices with a single modem inside. They cannot receive two polarities at the same time.

In the relay proposal, the SX127x is configured for some time with normal polarity, and for some other time with inverted polarity. These tasks are executed one after another.

Thanks

Thank you Sebastien,

Can this reconfiguration of the polarity be done on-the-fly with an SX1301 as well?

Thank you.
